My First Date!

I was talking with a friend today about writing books (go figure!) and I mentioned how I LOVE the feeling of writing something new.

I said, “It’s like a first date—completely exciting and full of possibilities. I’m on my best behavior and we get along so well! But then, when you start working on the revision, it’s not fresh anymore. It’s like you’ve been together for years.”

To which he responded, “Yeah, and you get all comfortable—stop shaving your legs—”

Best. Analogy. Ever.

It’s time to put some romance back in my revisionlationship! So if I'm not around, just pretend I'm out buying revision lingerie--aka: new character love interests! That'll spice up any revisionlationship!
